I got a craving to create this week. Since Tony is away I thought I send a care package his way. One of his favorite treats that I make is Caramel Corn Puffs. So off to the kitchen to create a great batch of puffs.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 vanilla
- 1 bag Chesters Puffcorn
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter.
Once butter is melted add 1/4 corn syrup.
1 cup brown sugar.
Mix, bring to a boil, and boil for 4 minutes.
Pour puff corn into a baking sheet.
Pour caramel over puff corn.
Mix puff corn and caramel...mix well.
Bake at 250 degrees for 50 minutes.
Stirring gently every 10 minutes.
Turn out on parchment paper or foil and cool breaking apart large chunks. Store in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
