Crafting Ideas





  1. Cut out a heart template, using a cookie cutter to trace out template works best. I used a 5" cookie cutter.
  2. Place fabric on the template and cut out 2 pieces.
  3. Pin fabric right side on right side.
  4. Sew 2 pieces together leaving an 1 1/2" opening. Remove pins after you're finished stitching.
  5. Pull fabric inside out.
  6. Iron fabric.
  7. Using a small funnel insert scented rice until full.
  8. Pin the opening shut.
  9. With a needle and thread  hand stitch the opening and remove the pins.
Rice Mixture: Jasmine whole grain rice, bowl, lavender oil, fresh rosemary.

In a large bowl place 1lb of rice, 6 drops of lavender oil, a sprig of fresh rosemary leaves. Mix and insert mixture into the 1 1/2" opening before stitching the heart closed. Rice mixture will make 8 hand warmers. Place warmers in the microwave for 15 seconds to heat up.
