Date Night... Sadie Hawkins Style...

Sadie Hawkins... A day of simple role reversal in which a young woman takes the initiative by inviting a young man of their choice out on a date.

Now, if it were up to me, I would have invoked the Sadie Hawkins clause on my boyfriend 2 years ago! However, we have rule #108 in our home... NO dating until you're 16. You like how the rules have surpassed 100... My little brother and I have my older siblings to thank for that!

Sorry, going off the rails... Back to Date Nights... Fun to go on one and easy to plan right? Wrong!

Two weeks ago my boyfriend was out of town touring colleges... Remember me being all out of sorts?!? I missed my best friend so much I thought to myself... Hey, why don't you ask him out on a date when he returns from his trip?

Okay... Silly me thinking this would be easy! It's not... It's a production of sorts. Planning what to do in a town that has one main road is NOT easy.

What to do... Dinner, movie, go-carts, checking out my new house, and just hanging out. Ladies this requires planning and money!!! A production... Oh, don't forget you have the task of getting yourself all beautiful. Did I mention I have crazy curly Einstein hair?!?

I always had this idea my boyfriend had the easy end of the deal. He picks me up, decides what to do, drops me off, and done deal... Right... WRONG! 

I have such an appreciation for all the young men out there who plan a production each weekend to spend time with their loves.
